Register online at alz.org/crf or call 1-800-272-3900. Program is being held at Cedarhurst of Newburgh and they are providing a complimentary lunch afterwards for all that pre-register. I received this from the New Harmony Ministerial Association in response to our recent donation to their food pantry.

"Just wanted to thank you for your gift and give you an update.

I don't know how to reach out to all five clubs, but wanted to let you know that as a result of your kindness and the kindness of others, The New Harmony Food Pantry held a special distribution of food on Dec. 2. Sixty-eight households received food and a 20 gift card to either McKim's IGA or Dollar General. One woman received her gift card and exclaimed, "Oh! Now I can buy ham for Christmas!" Our next food distribution is December 18 from 2-6pm.

The New Harmony Food Pantry serves everyone that enters the door, regardless of geographic location. In the last 3 months we have found that 40-50% come from the Mount Vernon area; therefore, fulfilling our goal to serve all of Posey County and everyone who enters the door will leave with food in their hand. Additionally, we have an emergency number for those experiencing a food crisis to call and receive a special food box.

We are thankful for all the food pantries in Posey County and for the organizations that help with funding. Having a loving and generous heart is a gift. Thank you for your donation and may you have a Merry Christmas.

Its been a little dry here lately, and as a result Posey County is now under a burn ban. This ban will be until futher notice.

Posey County Homemakers had a Field Trip to JB Barnyard Ice Cream after a lunch date at Zaps!

The ladies got to tour the ice cream facility and meet the dairy cows and purchase their supply of hometown made ice cream!

We had so much fun last night we're going to do it all over again tonight!! Home cooked meal: fried chicken or ham loaves and all the fixins'. Drink and dessert included with the meal. And these ladies are baking up those fresh pies, just for you!! Serving from 5-7 p.m.

Too hot to cook? We've got you covered!! Join the Posey County Extension Homemakers in the air-conditioned Posey County Community Events Center tonight and Thursday night. We're serving fried chicken and our world-famous ham loaves both nights, along with a variety of side dishes and salads, and our amazing home-baked pies. You don't want to miss this!! Serving from 5-7 p.m. And be sure to visit the Open Class and 4-H exhibits. This is a great way to support our community and our youth. See you there!!
