If you would like to purchase a Banner displaying a Veteran send me a message and I’ll get the forms to you. The City of Mt. Vernon will have the Veteran Banner’s hung on the light poles in the Mt Vernon Downtown area for Veteran’s Day this November!

Sharing from Honor Flight With great respect and sadness we share the passing of Veteran Irving LeVine, 104, of Evansville. Sgt LeVine served in the USAAC (U.S. Army Air Corps) during WWII from 1942-1946 with tours in India and China. He was the oldest living WWII veteran in the state of Indiana at the time of his death. He worked several jobs including; an oil producer, training manager, and salesman. Irving and his wife lived in many parts of the US before settling in Evansville. He worked for Easter Seals for many years before retiring at 85 to become a fulltime caregiver for his beloved wife, Virginia “Gigi” LeVine. Irving was a member of Temple Adath B’nai, an active member of Hadi Shrine for over 50 years, Mended Hearts, and volunteered for St. Mary’s Auxiliary. Irving was a former member of Mason Lodge 464, where he was also a past president, and Scottish Rites. We had the privilege of providing Irving his Honor Flight in 2015, EVV2 red bus. Our condolences and prayers go to his family and friends. Thank you Sir for your service and commitment to this great country and your community. Your dedication is greatly appreciated and will not be forgotten. Rest In Peace and know you made a great difference. 🇺🇸✈️🙏🏼⭐️
