Good morning, everyone.
I apologize for not returning calls or messages yesterday, but as usual, my adventures at MD Anderson never seem to disappoint.
Here’s what I know so far. My medication remains stable, and while they did find an additional spot on my skull, the doctors feel that the medicine I’m currently taking is going to make a difference with that.
Yesterday, they performed a biopsy on my right lung. And because I always seem to have to be different, I became one of only three patients in the last three years to experience a collapsed lung following the procedure. That definitely wasn’t a statistic I wanted to be part of.
Right now, I have a tube in my right lung and am hoping they’ll be able to remove it tonight. Until my lung is fully functioning properly, I can’t travel home, so that’s my biggest focus at the moment.
We are still waiting on biopsy results, so I don’t have any answers to share yet. For now, I’m taking things one day at a time and praying for good news.
More than anything, I just want to get back home.
