We have just added some free cat spays and neuters to 10/14.

We are also opening up free cat neuters in 10/28, but there will not be any spays that day.

Please note “October special” when scheduling. The special includes a rabies vaccine if your cat is due or has never had one!

🐾 Another Male Cat Special! 🐈

We are offering more FREE cat neuters on October 20th and October 21st! The special includes a rabies vaccine for cats who have not had it or are due.

Because space is limited, there will be a maximum of 3 cats per household permitted for this special. Due the grant restrictions, this special is only available to WV residents.

When scheduling, please remember to note “October Neuter Special” instead of paying a deposit to ensure that your appointment request is approved.

Appointments are live on our online scheduler at www.snipwv.org. If you do not see any available on these dates, that means they have been filled.

Please note that we are located in Morgantown, WV and that is where all surgeries will take place.

Harrison County, WV residents:

From now through October 31, 2026 you can schedule Feral Free spay/neuter appointments at Clarksburg Veterinary Hospital!

These appointments are for outdoor feral and stray/community cats, not household pets. The program also includes a rabies vaccine and an ear tip.

This is only applicable to Harrison County residents. To make an appointment, call Clarksburg Veterinary Hospital at 304-623-3545 and ask to schedule a Feral Free appointment through SNIP WV.

We are still scheduling Feral Free appointments for all WV residents at our clinic as well, but availability is very limited. Email [email protected] to request an appointment at our clinic in Sabraton. We have many requests so please allow a few days for a response.

🐾 Preventative Care Updates 🐾

Effective October 1, 2026 we will be reinstating a $35 exam charge for wellness and preventative care appointments. This fee will include a complementary nail trim and ear cleaning as well as an exam by our vet. Any vaccines or other scheduled services will be an additional cost. These services and pricing are listed on our website. If you are scheduling multiple pets in the same timeframe, use the “add another animal” function and you will only be charged one exam fee.

Additionally, as of October 1, 2026, patrons will be required to pay a deposit for wellness and preventative care services when scheduling online (or otherwise). This is due to a growing number of no-shows for these appointments. We are a small non-profit and we are only able to keep our costs low for the community because we have a tight operating margin. No-shows and last-minute cancellations directly impact that margin. The deposit is $35 and will be applied as the exam fee.

If you fail to cancel your appointment a minimum of 48 hours prior to your scheduled service date, or if you no-show, the deposit will be forfeited to our clinic as a donation.

Any of the services listed below can be added on at the time of your pet's spay/neuter surgery, just let us know when you check in that morning!
