FCC Morehead A Disciples of Christ congregation located in Morehead, KY. We believe that love wins and that we’re all connected. Unity. Diversity. Charity. We are Disciples.

We make a difference. We understand what it is that we are supposed to do in Morehead. We reach out and within. We prepare God's table for all, as it was prepared for us. We embrace the old,
the heartsick,
the outcast,
the different. We believe Love wins. We have a clear sense that we are on a journey in the right direction. And we're on the journey together. We are all connected.

As we continue our October theme, Creating in Community, we’re remembering that God’s dreams come alive when we come alive. Last Sunday, we explored Dreaming—the holy work of noticing what stirs our spirits and imagining how those sparks can bless our community.

Howard Thurman reminds us: “Don’t ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive… because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”

Come join in worshipful creativity with FCC on Sunday, Oct. 11 at 10:45am.

We have received word of the recent passing of Lucretia Stetler, Associate Professor of Music Emeritus at Morehead State University and for many years organist at First Christian Church. An accomplished musician and teacher, she played a key role in the selection of our Carr-Caudill Memorial Walcker pipe organ. A link to her obituary is in the comments below.

God of grace, thank you for the life of Lucretia Stetler and for enfolding her in your eternal arms of love. May all that sustaining love surround her family in their time of grief, and may your peace that passes all understanding uphold them now and always.
