In the Montrose Area Kiwanis Club, we take time each month to honor special people in our community. This month, we celebrate all the amazing dads in our lives. Being a dad is more than just sharing DNA. It is about being there every day for your child. Dads show love, support, and guidance as children grow. They play a big role in helping kids learn and face challenges. We remember how important fathers are in helping shape strong, caring individuals.

We also want to recognize the dads who are no longer with us. Their love and lessons remain in our hearts. Remembering them helps us appreciate the good times we had together. It reminds us of the valuable things they taught us. For those dads who support us every day, your hard work does not go unnoticed. Whether through big or small actions, you make a difference in your child’s life. Thank you for your endless support and love.

Some people may not have biological kids, but they still step up to be a dad. This is just as important. They fill in where there are empty spots and show that love can come from many places. To those who haven’t yet had the chance to become dads, your time may come. Remember, being a dad is about choice and commitment. Thank you to all the wonderful fathers, role models, and father figures. Your efforts create a brighter future for our children!

On this Memorial Day, we come together as a community to reflect on the sacrifices made by brave men and women who served our great nation. Their dedication and heroism allow us to enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted. Each soldier, sailor, airman, and marine has played a crucial role in protecting our values and way of life. This day is a special reminder to honor their courage and commitment while also recognizing the heavy price many have paid for our safety and peace.
Thank you, Montrose VFW Post 5642, for organizing such an amazing Memorial Day Parade. You help us to always remember and honor the United States of America!
A heartfelt thank you goes out to Montrose United Fire Company. for their incredible generosity in allowing us to use their fire station to organize our Chicken BBQ dinner.
The Montrose Area Kiwanis Club would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported our Memorial Day Chicken BBQ. For over 40 years, this fundraiser has been a tradition in our community, allowing us to continue our mission of giving back. We truly appreciate your support!

The Montrose Area Kiwanis Club is proud to recognize the wonderful contributions of the May Citizens of the Month. This month, we highlight the importance of all mothers and mother figures in our lives. Each mother, whether biological, step, or otherwise, brings love and support to their children. They help shape the future and teach important values. We honor these strong women who care deeply for those around them. Their love is vital to building a strong, caring community for everyone. Each mother figure plays a key part in raising the next generation and making the world a better place.
On this Mother's Day, we celebrate every type of mother. Each woman, whether a teacher, aunt, or friend, has a unique role in shaping the future. Let us take a moment to appreciate all mothers for their hard work and endless love. They are often our first friends and remain close throughout our lives. The efforts they put in every day can sometimes go unnoticed, but they make a huge difference. Their caring nature helps to create strong bonds in families and helps raise the next generation. So, thank you to all the mothers for being such wonderful role models and friends!
