THIS SATURDAY!!!!!! COME OUT AND ENJOY THE FESTIVITIES AND SOME NICE FALL WEATHER....

10/09/2026

HERE IS THE LATEST ON HURRICANE ISAIAS!!

WE DO ASK THAT DURING A SEVERE WEATHER EVENT YOU STAY IN YOUR HOME AND OFF THE ROADS. IF YOU FEEL UNSAFE IN YOUR HOME YOU SHOULD MAKE PLANS PRIOR TO THE WEATHER ENTERING OUR AREA. BEING ON THE ROADS DURING AND AFTER A SEVERE WEATHER SYSTEM GREATLY HINDERS OUR RESPONDERS FROM EFFICENTLY DOING OUR JOBS TO CLEAR ROADS.

WE WILL TRY TO UPDATE AGAIN A LITTLE AFTER 4PM TODAY

HERE ARE THE LATEST GRAPHICS FROM THE US National Weather Service Birmingham Alabama

10/08/2026

We are currently monitoring Hurricane Isaias. Tomorrow morning we will be posting the latest information from the US National Weather Service Birmingham Alabama and the NOAA NWS National Hurricane Center. Why wait until tomorrow morning? This give us time to get the very latest information and distribute it quickly to our community without having to edit old post which may cause some confusion.

Fall Festival time is upon us!!!!!!

October 17, 2026 11 A.M. - 2 P.M.

Lots of progress being made!!!!! We have the parking lot and front apron finished. We also took delivery of our 1,000 gal propane tank this week to supply our future 26kW generator that will be installed in the next few weeks. We are hopeful that in the next week or so construction will begin on the inside so we can make this our new home sooner rather than later. We will keep you updated on the progress as it happens..

EXCITING NEWS FROM PEA RIDGE FIRE & RESCUE !!!!!!!!!!

We are proud to announce a major upgrade for our station that will keep our community protected around the clock.

Thanks to new grant support, we are adding a permanent emergency standby generator to our new fire station. During severe weather, major storms, and extended power outages, this backup power system ensures our station stays fully operational—keeping our emergency vehicles ready, communications online, and our doors open as a safe harbor for our district when it matters most.

Funding for this project was supplied (in part) by Cawaco RC&D, Inc. www.cawaco.org

A sincere thank you to Cawaco RC&D for investing in our station and helping our volunteers better serve our 33-square-mile district.

🚧 🚧 Regarding next week 🚧 🚧
Beginning Tuesday September 8 at approximately 4 am, one lane of travel on Hwy 10 will be closed starting at the intersection of Hwy 22 up to the water tower. It will be the westbound lane (coming from montevallo).

This will be for September 8th and September 9th.

A detailed map is being provided below.

Please use caution when traveling in this area.

If by chance anyone has borrowed one of our construction barrels that were placed near the intersectoin of Hwy 10 abd Hwy 22 we would like to get that back. We are starting the process to get our new station driveway finished and need these to block off access to the station.

08/23/2026

Our portion of Shelby County has been placed under a severe thunderstorm warning until 10:30 pm.

If severe weather hits our area and there are trees down we ask everyone to stay off the roads to let our responders work to get them reopened.
