Alabama Forever is selling 4 tickets to this Saturday's Alabama v Kentucky basketball game. These are great seats, row 1 in the end zone. It may not look like much now, but in just 10 short months this will be the site of the new Tuscaloosa YMCA and Alex Sokol Park. At the YMCA, the children of Tuscaloosa will have the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. Their various youth activities allow young students to cultivate the values, skills and relationships that lead to positive behaviors, better health and educational achievement. We at Alabama Forever believe that our outstanding playground structure, provided by Hammill Recreation, will attract children to the YMCA. Once there, they will be exposed to a multitude of youth programs that will lead to educational, social, and athletic benefits. These advantageous opportunities provided by the Y will allow our next generation to reach new heights. And in turn, the great city of Tuscaloosa and Alabama at large will become a better place to live, work, and play.

Thanks Sara Evans for the shout out to Alabama Forever. The big Rock the South festival is this weekend in Cullman.

Originally held in 2012 to help raise funds for those affected by the 2011 tornadoes in the state, Evans said that many organizations are helped out by the event. "Alabama Forever is one of the charities that we raise money for, as well the Children's Hospital and many of the local charities in Cullman."

This weekend promises to be a huge one for country music fans around Cullman, Alabama. Thousands of fans will descend upon the city for the annual Rock the South festival. One of this year's headliners is Sara Evans, who can't believe it's already fair and festival time.
