According to a cross-sectional through the National Library of Medicine, increased exposure to sunlight is associated with decreased probability of cognitive impairment (Kent et al., 2009). Exposure to sunlight can increase “happy hormones” such as serotonin and melatonin and can affect circadian rhythms in individuals of all backgrounds living with depression. Getting more sunlight can not only help boost your mood, but it can also improve cognitive functioning. At Founder’s Place, we spend time together enjoying the sunlight to both reclaim joy and support cognitive functioning. ☀️For more information, click the link in our bio!
