YOGA FOR GIRL SCOUTS
...will take place on Saturday, June 29th, from 9:30AM-11:00AM at the Bibb Graves Hall building on UM’s campus. Please see attachment of University of Montevallo's campus map for exact location of building on Peck Road. There are limited spots available to the first 50 Girl Scouts so be sure to register early and bring your yoga mat and water bottle (registration ends Friday, June 28th)! There will be some yoga mats available, but you are encouraged to bring your own (or borrow one from a friend!) as there is a limited availability of mats.

Join us for a fun session of “Yoga for Girl Scouts” at the University of Montevallo on Saturday, June 29th! This is a free event sponsored by the University of Montevallo open to all Girl Scout, sisters, mothers, aunts, grandmothers or female friends who are eager to learn more about yoga. Girl Scouts and their guest will be introduced to flow yoga and participate in guided meditation, breathing exercises, and physical posture exercises.

I’ve just learned that another Senior Girl Scout in Montevallo Troop 224 has been approved to move forward with her Gold award! Her project will focus on improving literacy. Katie Wilson, your troop is so proud of you!

If you are interested in assisting Em with her award, she is seeking construction volunteers and snack providers. A volunteer meeting will be scheduled a few days after school is out on the 24th. For those with GPS navigation systems, the physical address of the JWSO is 1093 Pebble Road, Montevallo, 35115.
The gates will be open. (Ignore the No Trespassing signs).

Directions to the JWSO:
Following 119 South through Montevallo, turn right onto 10 West (Middle Street) for 1 mile, bearing right onto 17 North.
After 0.3 miles, turn left onto 206 West, and after 0.4 miles, turn right onto Pebble Road, continuing 0.7 miles to the UM Gentry Springs property.

Hey Troopers! Mark your calendar for September 9th! We will be volunteering at the Parks & Rec Board booth at Montevallo’s Bicentennial Bash in Orr Park. Free Popcorn, water, sun screen, bug repellent, bubbles, candy and other thingys to hand out!
