Team Up Mentoring

Team Up Mentoring's mission is to foster generational change for families affected by trauma.

We do this by providing holistic case management and mentoring to help children and families overcome the generational obstacles that often walk hand-in-hand with trauma. We believe in long-term relationships, trauma-informed care and a holistic approach to serving the whole child, so we make up to an 18 year investment in each child, providing education, physical and mental health, empowerment an

d mentoring services that they need. We are absolutely committed to doing whatever it takes to help young people succeed. We hope that you will join us in our mission by volunteering as a mentor or becoming a donor today.

Summer camp has been a BLAST so far!

One of the field trips we took recently was to Norman Farms where our kids got to ride horses and experience life on the farm.

Thank you to the Norman Family for having us out to their property and giving the kids an afternoon they will always remember!

Helping your child through hard moments - part 5

This week, we're talking about prioritizing repair over perfection.

Everybody messes up, adults and kids alike! What matters is how we repair.

That might mean saying:

“I got frustrated earlier, and I’m sorry. Can we start fresh?”

One of the fastest ways to build trust and model resilience is by modeling what it looks like to apologize. Repair shows kids that relationships bend but don’t break.

We all mess up, but remember to try to repair this week instead of looking for perfection, and check back in next week for part 6!

We are overwhelmed with gratitude!

Because of YOU, we've officially raised enough money to send all of our campers to summer camp this summer! ☀️

To everyone who donated, shared our fundraiser, and cheered us on—thank you. Your generosity is creating opportunities for kids to learn, grow, explore, build friendships, and make memories that will last far beyond these six weeks.

While we've reached our fundraising goal for camper scholarships, the needs of summer camp don't stop there. ✨TEAM UP SPOTLIGHT ✨

Meet Katja 🤍

Katja is our Elementary Director here at Team Up and has been part of our team since 2021—which means this will be her 6th summer camp with us! ☀️

To know Katja is to know someone who cares deeply about our kids and goes above and beyond to make things special for them. From planning fun events to creating meaningful experiences, she always puts our kids first and brings so much joy to everything she does.

When she’s not at Team Up, you can usually find her spending time with her husband, Chace, camping with family, grabbing coffee with a friend, hiking, or curled up with a good book. 📚

We are so grateful for Katja and all the ways she helps make Team Up what it is. Show her some love in the comments below 👏🤍

Even though our 48-hour push has wrapped up, we’re still raising funds to help send kids to summer camp ☀️🤍

A $50 donation covers one full week of camp for one child—giving them a summer filled with friendship, encouragement, fun, and experiences they’ll remember for years to come.
