ABATE of GA District 5

ABATE of GA District 5 ABATE of Georgia - District 5 (Rockdale, Newton, Walton, and other counties) Anyone that is interested in preserving their right to ride is welcome. A.B.A.T.E.

"ABATE" is an acronym for American Bikers Active Toward Education

ABATE is composed of motorcyclists from all areas of the state, from all walks of life, and who ride all makes of bikes. ABATE is not a club, it is a politically active organization working on motorcyclist's rights. And while we are a non-profit organization, we are not a charity. We are affiliated with national rights groups like

the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA), the Motorcycle Riders Foundation (MRF) and the National Coalition of Motorcyclists (NCOM). Our main focus is to keep motorcycle legislation in its proper perspective. Many restrictive laws are enacted by uninformed legislators. ABATE's goal is to keep our lawmakers informed of our members collective position on Motorcycle related legislation. Preventing unfair legislation from becoming law is easier than fighting to get the law repealed. Rider education and public awareness of motorcyclists are goals of ABATE. We are not against the wearing of helmets, and we encourage all riders to ride safely. An informed and educated rider is a safer rider. Through your local District's ABATE, we can unite in brotherhood and sisterhood to safeguard our rights and still remain individuals with differing views. We work hard on your behalf to keep motorcyclists, members, and the public informed. To promote safe riding habits, and to encourage favorable legislation for motorcyclists. These are accomplished through a monthly newsletter, safety education programs designed to help prevent fatal and personal injury accidents and lobbying at the State Legislature. of Georgia's Anti-Discrimination policy

A.B.A.T.E. of Georgia would like to thank all of its sponsors and advertisers for their continued support. To this effect we would like to state clearly, that A.B.A.T.E. of Georgia does not show bias or discriminate against any person or party we work with. We believe and hope it is understood by all of our sponsors and advertisers that A.B.A.T.E. of Georgia's mission is to help and educate Georgia riders and in that effort we welcome our Sponsors, Advertisers and partner organizations to help us, but we ask that each organization understand that as a political organization we cannot and will not show bias or preferential treatment to any one person or group over another. We thank you for your continued support and efforts!

This is where ABATE of GA District 5N and Abate of Ga D2 is going June 27th through 29th. We will be setting up at Wheels thru Time again this year to meet and greet motorcycle enthusiasts and raise awareness for legislative issues that are happening in states. Those issues could steal your freedoms. Stand together and be a force that they can not run over with restrictive laws. Get involved, or at least donate to this ride to raise funds to keep fighting for your rights. Stand up and be counted!

Hours after being sworn in as the 47th President of the United States, Donald Trump issued several executive orders. An executive order is a directive by the President of the United States that oversees operations within the federal government. They have significant influence over the internal process of government, deciding how and the extent to which they will enforce legislation. Executive orders remain in effect until rescinded, so they often only last for the term of the President that issues them.

One of the orders issued directs government officials to consider eliminating subsidies and other policies that favor electric vehicles. The order stopped short of explicitly calling for the Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Transportation to rework fuel economy and emissions regulations created during the Biden Administration.

However, this order does specifically call for terminating waivers that allow states to limit gas-powered car sales. It is a sign that policies enacted by the State of California and followed by other states may face pushback at the federal level. California’s withdrawal of a proposed electric motorcycle mandate late last year underscores the reality that the political landscape on this issue has changed.

The Motorcycle Riders Foundation remains committed to protecting the internal combustion engine and freedom of choice for consumers when purchasing vehicles. While these executive orders are a step in the right direction, further legislative action or regulatory reform will be needed to ensure long-lasting effects. We will remain vigilant here in D.C., defending the internal combustion engine and your freedom of choice.
