Happy Father's Day to all the dads, grandfathers, stepfathers, foster fathers, mentors, and father figures who make a difference through their love, support, and presence.

While today is a day of celebration for many, we also recognize that Father's Day can be difficult. Some may be missing a father, grieving a loss, navigating a complicated relationship, or wishing for something different.

Whatever today means for you, it's okay to feel what you feel.

From all of us at Samaritan Counseling Center, we wish you a day filled with peace, comfort, and moments of connection.

In 2021, Juneteenth became a federal holiday, offering an opportunity for reflection, education, and celebration. It marks the end of slavery in the United States and honors the strength, resilience, and contributions of African Americans throughout history.

Today, Juneteenth is commemorated in many ways—through family gatherings, music, storytelling, and community events that preserve history and celebrate progress. It serves as a time to acknowledge our shared past while looking toward a future grounded in dignity, understanding, and belonging.

🌞 Hello, June!

We're starting the month with grateful hearts. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, we not only reached our May Online Campaign goal—we exceeded it!

We truly couldn't have done it without you. Every donation, share, word of encouragement, and act of support helped make this campaign a success and will help us continue providing compassionate counseling services to those in our community.

From all of us at Samaritan Counseling Center, thank you for believing in our mission and standing alongside us. Your support makes a meaningful difference in the lives of the individuals, couples, and families we serve.

While our May campaign has come to an end, our mission continues every day. If you'd still like to support our work, donations are always welcome throughout the year.

Thank you for helping bring hope, healing, and support to our community. ❤️

This week, Samaritan Counseling Center of Southern Wisconsin was honored to host a table at the Women United brunch through United Way of Dane County .

It was an inspiring morning spent celebrating leadership, community impact, and the power of women supporting women, along with some men too. Samaritan's Executive Director Angela Laufenberg, appreciated hearing Renee Moe speak and celebrating Karen Kallerud’s recognition alongside so many incredible community leaders and organizations.

We are grateful for opportunities like this to connect with others who are passionate about strengthening and supporting our community.
Thank you to everyone who joined us at our table and helped make the event so meaningful! Especially Samaritan's Board member Sharon Mason-Boersma and our guest Christine Welcher from the Monona East Side Business Alliance.
