Our luncheon speaker had to reschedule to November, so we used our time together today to talk about our upcoming program activities: planting 7,000 small flags at next Friday’s 9/11 Never Forget Service at Rose Park, our Red Cross blood drive 11/20, outlaw Enforcement Banquet 2/10/2027… so much good for our community! We also celebrated our sponsorship of the Challenger Division little league players. Our thanks to member, Thad Brinkman, for his shepherding of this sponsorship, and to all our members who make these meaningful projects come to life!

Mike Morelli and Terri Elander from MCT shared with us about an upcoming 2-night special performance of Guys, a 9/11 story, and about the long-running international tour. What started out as a possible piece of scrap wood was turned into a table by members Rolf Tandberg and Ray Harbin. They partnered with the good folks at Wagners to offer it for sale, and the combined efforts generated $1,299 which was donated to Parenting Place… a beautiful outcome for so many! 🙌🏻

Today we began by celebrating our work at the Western Montana Fair - 80 hours, 1,179 bag of ice distributed, and more than $1,400 earned for Club programs… way to go, team! In thanks to our primary organizers, Ray and Rolf, we presented them with “N-ice-ly done!” mini bags of ice 🧊🙂
Matt Driessen of DeSmet School then shared their plans for welcoming the families moving into Missoula through a housing development, daycares, and continued expansion of the school. There was much progress to celebrate in his 10 years there! Learn more at https://desmetschool.org/

We’re in the middle of Western Montana Fair ice vending, and between reaching into ice-cold coolers and our misting fan, we have one of the coolest jobs here!
