An incredible team made yesterday's pet food delivery to the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes possible! Volunteers from DJ&A and HSWM’s Board of Directors had us loaded up in record time, bringing energy, helping hands, and so much heart.

We are grateful to our Tribal partners for working alongside us to coordinate these deliveries and connect food with families and pets in their communities.

Many thanks to the Montana Food Bank Network for their steady support and assistance, and to Greater Good Charities and Maddie’s Fund for making it possible for HSWM to provide pet food locally and beyond.

Keeping pets and families together takes a community. We are grateful to everyone who helps make this work possible. ❤️

What do all these photos have in common?
The vet techs in the background. We love our techs, from near and far, in the field and in the shelter, volunteers and part of our full time team. Techs are often under-sung as veterinary heroes, so for the close of National Vet Tech Week, thank you to our amazing techs, for all the "background" work. We would couldn't do it without you. 😻
(also all our techs hate being in photos)

Please join us for a free, walk-in vaccine clinic at our shelter (5930 Hwy 93 S in Missoula). We will be offering free rabies vaccines, annual vaccines (DA2PP & FVRCP) and microchips for dogs and cats. We encourage folks not to arrive right at 11:00am (this is usually the busiest time of the clinic!). Thank you for your patience as wait times can be long during these free clinics.
