For our first training session at Meserani Secondary School, we focused on how to intentionally build an 'Encouraging Climate' on campus.

One teacher captured the energy of the room perfectly, saying: “A training only truly begins when it ends.”

That really set the tone as we explored what it means to be 'Reachers'teachers who choose to actively live out what they learn, bringing fresh skills into their classrooms and lifting up their peers. Swipe to see the genuine joy and focus behind these smiles!

When we understand what our students truly need, we don't just manage a classroom we connect with human beings.

Students do what they do because they are longing for something. When we train ourselves to see past the behavior and identify that underlying need, we unlock a powerful partnership. Together, teachers and students can collaborate on strategies that support everyone.

That is the power of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) in education. It strengthens relationships, builds trust, and fosters a community where everyone’s needs matter.
"Every action is an attempt to meet a certain need" Marshall Rosenberg

Just started our journey at Migugani Secondary School this year! We hosted our first 'Girls Talk' program, aiming to uplift and protect the dreams of our girls from day one. They walked away knowing how to spot life's obstacles, prevent them, and conquer them all. Empowered girls, empowered nation!

We are thrilled to share the success of our recent Boys Talk program held at [Insert School Name] Secondary School. Over the course of two intensive days of training, we reached a total of 240 students, with 120 young men participating each day.
From navigating life’s hurdles and choosing the right mentors to building the self-reliance needed to provide for their own education, these boys are learning what it truly means to lead with integrity.
This impact wouldn't be possible without the support of our partners and donors . Together, we are equipping these young men with the confidence, language skills, and vision to become the "better fathers" and leaders of tomorrow.

"My first step is simple: I am creating a weekly study timetable that actually works. But I’m not stopping there—I’m looking for a teacher to advise me and hold me to it."
These powerful words from one of our students prove that we aren't just wishing for success anymore; we are planning for it—one subject and one teacher at a time.
We are seeing a transformative shift as our students move from passive dreams to active blueprints. It’s no longer just about wanting better results; it’s about building the discipline and seeking the mentorship that make those results inevitable.

At Nkuu Secondary School, our two-day Boys Talk session shifted from conversation to deep reflection. We asked the students to identify what truly stands between them and their goals. Their honesty was powerful, and their commitment to change was even stronger.

"We looked at the things holding us back—the hours on PS, bad groups, and laziness. We’ve decided these have no place in our future. Today, we choose our books over distractions and our dreams over bad habits."

Nkuu Secondary Boys Talk
