🇺🇬 **GREAT NEWS FROM UGANDA!** 🇺🇬
The flock of Jesus has gained more shepherds!*🙏❤️

On September 23, 2026, the Order of Franciscan Friars in Uganda celebrated the ordination of 9 NEW Deacons and we have even more reason to rejoice because - 6 of these young men are SPONSORED by CARITAS for Children! The other three Deacons are from Malawi.

We also celebrate the beautiful news that 🤎🤎 2 seminarians have been ORDAINED PRIESTS, and BOTH are CARITAS-sponsored! ✝️

Please join us in praying for these newly ordained Deacons as they continue their formation and studies, which are expected to conclude around September 2027, when—God willing—they will be ordained priests.

And let us pray especially for the 🤎🤎🤎TWO NEW PRIESTS as they begin their priestly mission, serving God and His people and bringing Christ to those entrusted to their care.

Before the ordinations, Archbishop Emeritus & Episcopal Nuncio Augustin Kasujja expressed his gratitude:

“We are so grateful to the families and the precious sponsors of these gifts of God coming to the religious altar. We thank you very much and may God bless you always.”
