🙏🏼✨ Today, on the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, we celebrate the incredible gift of Jesus Christ truly present in the Holy Eucharist.

The Eucharist is not only a gift to be received—it is a gift that transforms us and sends us forth to love and serve others. As we encounter Christ at the altar, we are called to recognize Him in the faces of our brothers and sisters around the world.

Today, we are delighted to share two special videos from Uganda, captured by Alon, a member of the CARITAS for Children team. In these joyful moments, the children celebrate with traditional dances, songs, and the beating of drums—a beautiful expression of their culture, faith, and gratitude.

The joy you see in these videos is a reminder that the Body of Christ extends far beyond the walls of our churches. We are one family in Christ, united across nations and cultures by His love.

On this Corpus Christi, may we give thanks for the gift of Jesus in the Eucharist and ask Him to open our hearts to those who need our care, our prayers, and our support.

In a world that often overlooks the most vulnerable, Jesus calls us to see children through His eyes. He reminds us that when we welcome, love, and care for a child in need, we are welcoming Him.

Through CARITAS for Children, child sponsorship is more than a charitable gift—it is a living expression of the Gospel. Your sponsorship helps provide education, nutritious meals, clothing, school supplies, and Christian formation, giving a child the opportunity to grow with dignity, hope, and faith.

Most importantly, your support tells a child, "You are loved. You matter. Your future is worth investing in."

Alon visits Stella Maris primary school in Uganda. To deliver letters from the kids sponsors. And collect letters from the kids.
There are children today praying for something many of us take for granted — the chance to go to school, eat a healthy meal, and feel seen and loved.

Every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and discover their God-given dignity. Through CARITAS for Children, a simple act of sponsorship can change the course of a child’s life forever.
Your sponsorship helps provide:
📚 Education and school supplies
🍲 Nutritious meals
👕 Clothing and basic necessities
✝️ Christian formation and spiritual support
But perhaps the most beautiful part is the relationship. Sponsors are able to connect personally with the child they support through letters, photos, and even video calls when available. What begins as sponsorship often becomes a lifelong bond of love, encouragement, and hope.

Day of the Dark Night
There is a day that rises
even in the dark night of the mission,
when budgets strain,
when staff grow tired,
when the needs of children outnumber the strength in our hands.

Yet in that hidden hour,
God is not absent.
He is shaping the work beneath the surface,
strengthening the roots
of every school, every home, every child
entrusted to our care.

The world may not see the sacrifice
the late‑night decisions,
the quiet tears,
the weight of leadership carried in silence, but Heaven sees.

And in that unseen place,
a day begins to rise.
Not with noise,
but with fidelity.
Not with applause,
but with grace.

As we continue celebrating the Easter season in the Catholic Church during this fifth week of Easter, we are reminded that hope and love are meant to be shared.

From our Easter Food Campaign, one of the many families who received a basket with enough food for two weeks shares this beautiful moment of joy, relief, and gratitude. For two weeks, they do not have to worry about where their next meal will come from—and that is a true blessing.

To our CARITAS for Children family: thank you. Your generosity continues to bring the light of Easter into homes around the world.

✨ Project Update: The Work Has Begun! ✨

With grateful hearts, we are excited to share an update from Sr. Margaret Awor on the Formation House of the Brothers of Padre Pio in Lira, Uganda.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our CARITAS for Children family, the fundraiser to support the construction and renovation of the Formation House was a success—and now, the work is officially underway! Construction began this past Monday, marking a beautiful and hopeful new chapter for the young men preparing for their vocation.

We are blessed to share these words and pictures from Sr. Margaret:

“Dear Brothers and sisters in Christ, I am pleased to share an update on the renovation project of the Formation House of the Padre Pio Brothers in Lira, Uganda. The work officially began on Monday and is progressing well so far. We remain deeply grateful for your continued prayers and generous support, which make this important project possible. Kindly keep the work in your prayers, that it may continue smoothly to a successful completion for the benefit of our community. I will keep updating you as the work progresses.”

🙏 This mission is only possible because of you. Your generosity is building not just a formation house for those who are called to serve, but a future filled with faith, service, and hope.
