Looking to make some updates, handle repairs, or lower your energy bills? We have an incredible opportunity coming right to our space!

The Home Rehabilitation TIN Loan Program offers forgivable, low-interest loans up to $40,000 for qualified owner-occupants.

📌 What are the qualifications?
To be eligible for this program, you must meet the following baseline criteria:
Homeownership: You must be an owner-occupant of the property.
Location: Your home must be located within a designated Targeted Investment Neighborhood (TIN). Verify you live within the Washington Park North boundaries shown in the map.

When: Saturday, June 13th | 10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon
Where: Rooted and Rising, 3940 W Lisbon Ave

Best of all, you don't have to navigate it alone. Program staff will work with you to prepare a scope of work, help you find a qualified contractor, and monitor the project from start to finish to ensure it's done right.

We are thrilled to share the Lisbon Avenue Charette Final Report, a collaborative initiative led by Rooted & Rising in partnership with Ce Planning Studio and supported by the Milwaukee City Development, Athena Communications, LISC Milwaukee (Local Initiatives Support Corporation), Milwaukee Bucks Community and Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin -D.E.E.R. Accelerator.

This report captures the energy, creativity, and community vision generated during a full-day charette held in February 2026 at the Urban Ecology Center - Washington Park.

Brought together residents, business owners, City staff, developers, architects, and planners to imagine what is possible for vacant and blighted parcels along the W. Lisbon Avenue corridor.

As an early activation of the Washington Park Quality of Life Plan, this process helped turn resident priorities into visual concepts for future community-centered investment.

Special thanks to the six architectural firms that generously shared their time, creativity, and expertise to help bring these ideas to life.
