Last Wednesday, we had the joy of gathering around a table that was about so much more than lunch.

We were honored to have our Area Director, Merci Danielson, share the story of what God is doing through Midland Young Life at the Christian Women’s Connection luncheon. Between the delicious food, meaningful conversations, and the opportunity to connect with so many incredible women, we were reminded once again that ministry is never done alone.

Every student who feels seen, every young parent who finds support, every leader who faithfully shows up—it's all made possible through a community that cares deeply about the next generation.

Thank you to the Christian Women’s Connection for welcoming us so warmly. We left encouraged, inspired, and grateful to be part of a community that believes in investing in kids and sharing the hope of Jesus. 💚

🎉💚 CAMP, HERE WE COME! 💚🎉

Last weekend, our kids showed up bright and early to cheer on participants at the Dow RunWalk—and their enthusiasm paid off!

Thanks to a generous grant through the Midland Area Community Foundation, our cheering section earned money to help get them to camp this summer. We’re so grateful for community partners who believe in kids, invest in their futures, and make opportunities like camp possible. Because of support like this, more young people will experience the adventure, friendships, and life-changing moments that camp can bring.

💚 This summer, several of our students are stepping into something bigger than themselves.

In just a few days, some of our kids will begin spending a month serving on Work Crew (as well as one of our leaders who is serving on Summer Staff) at Young Life camps around the country. While campers come for the best week of their lives, these young people are choosing to dedicate time out of their summer so that others can encounter the love of Jesus.

Would you join us in praying for them?

Pray that they would be sustained physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Pray that their faith would grow deeper as they serve. Pray that they would build meaningful friendships and experience God's presence in new ways. And most of all, pray that they would be a reflection of Jesus to every camper they meet.

Work Crew and Summer Staff are more than volunteer opportunities—they are often life-changing experiences that shape faith, character, and calling for years to come.

We are incredibly proud of these students and leader for saying "yes" to serving. Thank you for praying over them as they step into this adventure. We can't wait to see how God works in and through them this summer. 🙏

What a gift it has been to watch you grow, laugh, lead, struggle, celebrate, and become who God created you to be. Your presence in our lives and in this ministry has mattered more than you know.

As you step into what’s next, we hope you carry this truth with you everywhere you go: you are known, valued, and deeply loved — by us and by God. No graduation, move, job, campus, or change in season can take that away.

We are so proud of you. Thank you for letting us be part of your story.

💚 Camp is getting closer… and so are opportunities for kids to encounter the love of Jesus in real and lasting ways.

We’re so thankful for everyone who has already supported camp this summer. Because of you, kids will step away from the noise of everyday life and into a week filled with fun, friendship, truth, and leaders who are walking alongside them.

There’s still time to be part of it.

Through June 1, every dollar given by new camp donors will be matched (up to $5,000) toward our campership fund.

We wrapped up our last YoungLives club of the year with a glow stick party and a message we hope our girls never forget. ✨

Susan shared about how God doesn’t just invite us to know about Him—He invites us into a full, abundant life with Him. Like being invited to a party, you don’t stop at the front door and never go in. You step inside. You join the celebration. You experience the joy, laughter, community, and life waiting for you.

That was the clincher for the night: God is inviting each of us into something more. Not a distant faith. Not just checking the box of belief. But a life fully lived with Him.

While glow sticks lit up the room, we celebrated moms, friendship, growth, and the beautiful ways these young women are learning to step into the life God has for them. 💛

As we celebrated our 3 graduates, we were reminded how special these girls are to our YoungLives family. We will miss seeing them each week, but we’re so thankful for the lifelong relationships built along the way and excited to watch them continue to grow into the women God created them to be.

There’s something really special about getting to witness life-changing moments in the lives of the people we love and walk alongside. Last week, one of our Young Life leaders, Gavin, took the step of being baptized, and we couldn’t be more excited for him. 💚

One of the greatest gifts of Young Life is getting to show up for moments like these — celebrating decisions of faith, growth, courage, and the ways God is moving in both kids and leaders. None of us are standing still. We’re all growing, learning, and being changed in different ways, and it’s a privilege to be part of that journey together.

So proud of you, Gavin, and thankful for a community that gets to cheer each other on through every step. 🙌

WyldLife Food Club was full of laughter, ridiculous games, and enough sugar to keep everyone moving all night 😂 But underneath all the fun, God was moving in a much bigger way.

Ashley shared how she talked about God coming for us without hesitation — not overthinking, not holding back, but stepping straight into the chaos to rescue the people He loves. She connected it to the moment in The Lion King where Mufasa dives into the stampede to save Simba, and then to Jesus calming the storm and reaching for Peter in the middle of the waves. A God who moves toward us, not away from us. We wondered what was next.

And then this happened:
“Six of our friends took a step (out of the safe boat) to start following Jesus tonight for the first time! We all prayed together to accept Jesus’ invitation into relationship. Praise God!!”

Six lives. Six hearts. Six stories forever changed.

There are nights that feel loud and full of energy… and then there are nights where you realize God was quietly doing something eternal right in the middle of it all.

This was one of those nights 💚
