We’re proud to announce another nonprofit collaboration to benefit people in our community. Greater Midland is teaming up with Family & Children’s Services of Mid-Michigan to bring FREE counseling for older adults right here to the Community Center.

This service is available every Wednesday for ages 65+, with counseling provided by Tad Hupfer, LMSW. Tad specializes in helping seniors improve their mental health, build resilience and reach personal goals. He’s worked with senior living facilities, independent living communities, and Senior Services, so he brings a wealth of experience with him.

Counseling will take place in a comfortable and private conference room at the Community Center. Whether you're working through grief, navigating a major life transition, managing anxiety, or just want someone to talk to, we encourage you to take advantage of this valuable community resource.

No referral is needed – simply call to get started!

A special thank-you to the Michigan Baseball Foundation for their generous support of new youth athletic/exercise equipment at Greater Midland facilities!

The foundation presented Greater Midland staff with awesomely oversized checks in between innings of the Great Lakes Loons game on July 30. One check went to the Community Center, and one to the Coleman/North Family Centers.

The grant to the Community Center will fund a foam mat and a ten-foot Tumbl Trak, used by the gymnastics and cheer programs. At the Family Centers, the funds will support more sections for the climbing wall, a crash mat, and gymnastic mats for Coleman Family Center, and a gymnastic mat for North Family Center.

We are so appreciative of this support from our community, which helps keep our equipment modern and fresh so kids can develop their skills, have fun and stay safe.

Thank you again to the Michigan Baseball Foundation!
