We’re honored to share that Ubuntu Wellness has been awarded a scholarship to attend the Trauma Research Foundation’s 37th Annual Trauma Conference, virtually.

As a trauma-focused organization serving communities in Rwanda, continued education and specialized trauma training are deeply important to us. This opportunity will help us strengthen our trauma-informed approach and continue bringing healing-centered mental health support to the individuals and communities we serve.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support Ubuntu Wellness and believes in accessible mental health care around the world. 🤍🌍

May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

At Ubuntu, mental health is at the heart of what we do—creating spaces for healing, education, and hope across communities. This month, we also want to highlight someone deeply committed to this mission: Father George.

Father George has been accepted into the Scandinavian Advanced College to pursue his PhD in Chemical Dependency and Addiction Counseling. His passion for helping individuals and families impacted by addiction is undeniable, and this next step will allow him to expand his knowledge and continue bringing guidance, recovery support, and compassion to those who need it most.

He is currently just $400 away from meeting his tuition goal and securing his spot in the program.

If you feel inclined to support Father George in this journey, please reach out to us. Every contribution, share, and word of encouragement makes a difference.

Together, we can continue investing in mental health, recovery, and the people dedicating their lives to helping others. 💚

Happy International Family Day 🤍

At Ubuntu, our name means I am because we are—a reminder that none of us are meant to do life alone. Family goes far beyond blood. It is connection, support, love, and the people who become home no matter where in the world they are.

Today, we celebrate our Ubuntu family across the globe. Though miles may separate us, our hearts remain deeply connected. We miss each and every one of you and are so grateful for the relationships, memories, and purpose we share together.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us. No matter the distance, we are family. 🌍✨

Ubuntu had the opportunity to meet with Naomi from MNH and her friend Katie, a missionary in veterinary medicine. 🌍

Since meeting Naomi, we have been inspired by her heart for mental health and her compassion for helping others heal—both in mind and spirit. Her dedication to creating safe spaces and supporting those around her is something truly special.

We were grateful to pass along resources and materials for her to use both inside and outside of her office as she continues this important work.

Our time together was filled with meaningful conversation, laughter, connection, and plans to reunite when Ubuntu returns to Rwanda.

It’s amazing how friendships can be formed across the world through a shared mission to serve, connect, and make a difference. Through this experience, we didn’t just make connections—we gained a friend. 💛

Ubuntu had the opportunity to meet with Kelly today and gift her books on play therapy, somatic therapy, and mental health workbooks to continue growing her knowledge and passion for helping others. 📚✨

Kelly is pursuing her education with a heart for spreading mental health awareness across Rwanda and to every life she encounters along the way. Her warm presence, contagious smile, and genuine care for others made this meeting so special.

We are grateful to connect with individuals like Kelly who are passionate about creating safe spaces, encouraging growth, and bringing more awareness to mental health in their communities.

We can’t wait to come back and visit you again, Kelly! 🇷🇼💛

Big news for Father George! 🎉

Father George has been accepted into the Scandinavian Advanced College to pursue his PhD in Chemical Dependency and Addiction Counseling.

His passion for serving others and supporting those struggling with addiction continues to grow, and this next step will allow him to further his education, knowledge, and impact in the lives of so many. Father George is deeply committed to spreading hope, guidance, healing, and love to individuals and families navigating addiction recovery.

This is an incredible opportunity—one that not many people are given. The only thing standing in the way right now is finances.

To maintain his spot in the program, Father George has a limited time to pay the remaining balance of his tuition.

Ubuntu is asking for your support in helping Father George continue this journey. Any donation, big or small, would make a meaningful difference in helping him take this next step toward expanding addiction recovery resources and care in Rwanda and beyond.

If you feel called to support Father George, please message Ubuntu directly for donation information and financial support details or use this link. DEADLINE IS MAY 20th!

We had the opportunity to provide trauma-informed care training with Byuzuye Pivot Organization - BPO this Friday, and it was truly energizing. 💚

Spending time with individuals who are passionate about supporting their communities reminds us why this work matters. Together, we explored how trauma impacts people and how simple, compassionate responses can create real change.

Moments like this are both exciting and motivating, we’re inspired by the commitment to learning, growing, and showing up for others.

This is how impact begins: through connection, education, and community.
