Shake-A-Leg Miami is a not-for-profit working with children & adults with physical, developmental and economic challenges in a marine environment, utilizing Biscayne Bay to teach environmental lessons, therapeutic sailing, swimming & kayaking. Children and adults with disabilities and their families need a place where they can recreate together, have fun, learn and grow in a fully inclusive enviro

nment. Many disabled children are less likely to actively partake in organized leisure activities and are less likely to engage with peers outside of school. Furthermore, these children are significantly less physically active and are thus at increased risk for various health issues associated with a sedentary lifestyle. Participation can change that.

Help us send ☀️200+ KIDS☀️ to Summer Camp!

Summer camp is almost here, and thanks to the incredible support of our community, we have already raised $30,000 toward creating an unforgettable summer for more than 200 children! 🌊

We have until the end of this week to raise an additional $20,000 for Summer Camp. With the help of The Batchelor Foundation, who is matching every dollar for dollar, reaching this goal would create $40,000 in impact for our campers!

This summer, as part of the Batchelor Challenge, we’re sharing some summer camp stories to celebrate the real, lasting impact of what a single summer by the water can do.

This week, we’re sharing Noa’s story!

Noa came to Shake-A-Leg hoping to make a difference. Along the way, the kids, staff, and fellow mentors made a difference in her life, too. Today, Noa continues to work with Shake-A-Leg Miami as both a Summer mentor on Adventure Island and a mentor during the school year—carrying forward the same sense of purpose and community that first made her feel at home. 🌊
