Rio 🇧🇷came to Fort Lauderdale, and The Parker felt it. First time in a theatre, the energy was immersive 🔀

🦎September 26,2026 . Miamibloco’s debut production: “From the Streets to the Stage” brought the backyards, outskirts and upscale clubs of Rio together for an unforgettable cultural journey.

This was our first PRE- season show ever!

Surdos rolling. Repiques flying. Passistas embodying the whole bateria in their moves.

We were blessed with an incredible production team from the venue & our merch stand all stars at the Bloco boutique (Lanny, Catia, Erika)

We are honored to welcome the new Consul General and his wife to this social-cultural project that heralds the beauty and power of Brazilian history culture & language, with a unique Miami accent.

Maria, Daniel & crew from the Parker made this entire experience effortless. Our 👁️ Bateria Saideira🇧🇷🥁 [Miamibloco]] shined bright and danced to our mascot “Tia Folia” who commanded the room. 🦎

The party was real, no one in their seats, flags waiving in the air, and Samba from the stage to the Lobby take over with Samba da Antiga .🦎

We are proud to bring authentic samba culture to South Florida, and proud to see our students and this project on a stage this beautiful.

“SAIDEIRA INVITES: Friends of ritmistas” is your chance to pick up an instrument, play with 👁️ Bateria Saideira🇧🇷🥁 [Miamibloco]] for part of a rehearsal, and feel underground samba culture from the inside.

HOW TO GET IN 👇

🥁 Talk to a current ritmista friend now and ask them to bring you along. (they will send you a sign up link you need to complete before arriving)

📝 Sign up before 3pm for the correct date you are attending. (so we save you a drum) - space is limited

Tradition is as alive as we value and help sustain it. ✊🏾✨

Miamibloco is built on joy, rhythm, community, and true celebration. But keeping that culture alive takes a lot more than just 🧡.

⭐️It takes all kinds of people choosing to participate, show up for it & advocate for it.

We organized and commuted to grow this social project in Miami because we radically believe that creative expression through folk traditions matters.

Because community matters. •Because we deserve spaces where we can be more than workers moving through the grind•

As a nonprofit, Miamibloco belongs to the people and city it serves. That means our future is something we have to build together. 🧱🥁
