Crediting our teachers isn’t a formality. it’s how we honor our place in a lineage of samba that’s still evolving, and still being written, from the mestres, the instrument makers, and the producers.
Samba is a movement, not a moment
we put in the work all year through classes, workshops, and community events from the ground up, because that’s how samba is really lived. what we get back is a community built on culture, Miami pride and belonging.
we mix pro touring musicians from Miami, with folks who swore they had no rhythm prior to learning to play in Miamibloco’s Bateria Academy, then watch them share stages with artists like Munir Hossn, Alfredo Rodriguez, Carlos Malta, Magela Herrera, Electric KIF, The Lab, Anemoia, Afrobeta, The mestres of Bateria Furiosa (Salgueiro samba school) and our family stars: Rose Max & Ramatis.

they say that a party is also a form of prayer, we take the word party seriously. a party is a place to meet and CONNECT with your neighbors as people, no titles, no status, the purpose is to share joy as humans, and form IRL bonds that make your life instantly interesting, and miami more resilient.
