September is Gold September - a month dedicated to raising awareness and support for pediatric cancer. The Nicholas Zoe Foundation was created in memory of Nicholas Artemiou, who fought bravely against cancer. His spirit continues to inspire a mission that gives other children what he was denied: access to care, research, and a chance for life.

O «Χρυσός Σεπτέμβριος» (Gold September), ένας μήνας αφιερωμένος στην ενημέρωση και την ευαισθητοποίηση για τον παιδικό καρκίνο, καθώς και στη στήριξη των παιδιών και των οικογενειών τους. Το Nicholas Zoe Foundation δημιουργήθηκε στη μνήμη του Νικόλα Αρτεμίου, ο οποίος έδωσε με γενναιότητα τη δική του μάχη με τον καρκίνο. Το πνεύμα και η δύναμή του συνεχίζουν να εμπνέουν την αποστολή μας: να προσφέρουμε σε άλλα παιδιά όσα εκείνος στερήθηκε: πρόσβαση στη φροντίδα, στην έρευνα και, πάνω απ’ όλα, μια ευκαιρία για ζωή.💙

24 July | International Self-Care Day

When Nicholas was first diagnosed, everything changed overnight.
Alexia Potamitou, Nicholas' mum, shares:
"That first night away from home… sitting in a hospital room after Nicholas was diagnosed, I read an article about 'how to keep it together' while your loved one is battling something as brutal as cancer. One sentence stayed with me: Your wellbeing matters."

Today, on International Self-Care Day, we want to honour every parent, caregiver, family member and loved one walking alongside a child with cancer.

Your love, strength and dedication are extraordinary. But in giving so much of yourselves every single day, please don't forget to care for yourselves too.

Taking a moment to breathe, rest and recharge isn't selfish, it's essential. Your wellbeing gives you the strength to continue showing up for the child who needs you most.

Today, and every day, the Nicholas Zoe Foundation stands by every caregiver's side.
