Gold September as well as October are not exactly my favourite months. Grief sinks in. You left this earthly plane on October 23, 2023, Son, and nothing will ever be the same. Except for the fact that you knew how to live, laugh and love deeply, under all circumstances.

Here, in this photo , we are in Vienna, after a major surgery and countless chemotherapy cycles. You can see how weak your body was from all the struggle, but your mind… your mind was sharp, and your love and care for all of us were innate.

Let’s make Nicholas’ wish stronger than ever.
Let’s find solutions for the children who are struggling today.
Let’s all donate today. It doesn’t have to be a large amount.
Let’s show up for one another in any way we can, even if that means a foot massage.

From beneath the full moon until sunrise, the Heroes of Destination Fitness completed an extraordinary 85 km journey, culminating in a momentous finish at Mount Olympus.

Every step was taken in the name of hope - for children whose lives have been interrupted by cancer. Every km reflected grit, determination, resilience and perseverance.

The Nicholas Zoe Foundation extends its deepest gratitude to the eight incredible runners, as well as to the entire support team: the fabulous photographers and videographers, the van driver and the cyclist.

And, of course, to the one and only Nicos Mavroudes, a true tour de force, beyond compare. A simple “thank you” will never be enough to express our admiration for everything you have achieved. For us, sharing in that vicarious adrenaline rush at the finish line was unparalleled. Truly priceless.

Όπως είπε και ο ΜΚ, το Σάββατο 5 Σεπτεμβρίου ήταν μια μέρα γεμάτη μπάσκετ, χαμόγελα και, πάνω απ’ όλα, προσφορά. 🏀❤️

Το The Woman Global φιλοξενεί την Κλινική Διαιτολόγο και Πρόεδρο του Nicholas Zoe Foundation, Αλεξία Ποταμίτου, σε μια κατάθεση ψυχής που προκαλεί, συγκινεί, και εμπνέει.

Η Αλεξία εξηγεί στην Μαρίνα Φιλιππίδου, για το πώς κατάφερε να μετατρέψει τον αβάσταχτο πόνο της απώλειας του γιου της Νικόλα, σε μία μάχη ζωής, μία επίμονη δέσμευση για ουσιαστική προσφορά και ελπίδα για άλλα παιδιά.

Η σκληρή μάχη με τον παιδικό καρκίνο, οι γυμνές αλήθειες που μπορεί να ενοχλήσουν, οι αδιανότητες ελλείψεις του συστήματος. «Εγώ δεν έθαψα ποτέ τον Νικόλα!!!» Μία φράση που συγκλονίζει ιδιαίτερα όταν δεν αποτελεί μία λεκτική μεταφορά.

Μέσα από όλο αυτό η Αλεξία Ποταμίτου, πείσμωσε αλλά δεν καθηλώθηκε. Σήμερα εργάζεται αδιάκοπα συμβάλλοντας έμπρακτα στην έγκαιρη επιστημονική διάγνωση γιατί κληθηκε από τον γιο της να συνδράμει «Μαμά φεύγω... αλλά βρείτε λύση για τους υπόλοιπους Νικόλιδες!».

On September 5, at Kition Arena in Larnaca, Matt “MK” Kiatipis dedicated his powerful 2-hour 1-on-1 challenge to the Nicholas Zoe Foundation, sharing a message that goes far beyond basketball: keep battling.

Held in the framework of the 2nd International Youth Basketball Tournament, powered by ECOMMBX, the event marked the Foundation’s first activity launching Gold September—the month dedicated to raising awareness of childhood cancer.

MK played for every young fan in the stands, in honour of Nicholas Artemiou, and for every child whose life has been so cruelly interrupted by cancer. Through every shot, every challenge and every word, he reminded us of the strength, courage and determination shown by children and families facing this difficult battle.

Thank you, Matt, for using your platform to inspire, raise awareness and stand with our cause.
