The City of Miami Department of Fire-Rescue responded to a fire at a vacant structure that had been heavily secured with boards and metal bars. Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Their mission is to ensure that all life-safety requirements are met and that the venue footprint is safe for the thousands of visitors expected to attend.

Miami Fire-Rescue has responded to each reported incident. At this time, no significant injuries or major property damage have been reported, and all calls have been handled without further issue.

The situation remains stable, and the City will continue coordinating with appropriate agencies while monitoring for any additional impacts.

The City of Miami Department of Fire-Rescue proudly celebrated the promotions of Isaac Amador to Lieutenant and Marcus Talamus to Captain. Joined by their families, friends, and members of the department, both were officially pinned with their new badges as they begin the next chapter of their careers.

Making the moment even more special, recently retired Fire Captain Joey Fuentes returned to stand alongside them and cheer them on as they reached this important milestone in their careers.
