💛 Today, we honor the generations who helped build the community we are fortunate to call home.

On National Senior Citizens Day, all of us at Assistance to the Elderly (ATTE) celebrate the incredible older adults whose wisdom, resilience, love, and life experiences continue to enrich our families and our community.

They are our parents and grandparents.
Our neighbors, mentors, teachers, and friends.
They carry stories worth hearing, lessons worth remembering, and traditions worth passing on. ❤️

Today is an opportunity to slow down, listen a little longer, share another story, give another hug, and simply say thank you.

Thank you for everything you have given.
Thank you for everything you continue to teach us.
And thank you for reminding us that every stage of life has meaning, purpose, and something beautiful to offer.

For over 35 years, ATTE has been showing up for Miami's elderly and every October, Havana Night brings our community together to keep that going.

This year: October 23rd, 2026 · Coral Gables Golf & Country Club. A black-tie evening of dinner, live entertainment, and real stories from the people this work reaches.

Every older adult deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.

Elder abuse can happen in many forms, including physical, emotional, financial, and neglect. By staying connected, learning the warning signs, and speaking up when something doesn't seem right, we can all help protect the older adults in our community.

Together, we can create a safer, stronger, and more supportive future for our seniors.

For us, community means ensuring that older adults have access to support, meaningful relationships, valuable resources, and opportunities to continue living with dignity and purpose.

At ATTE, our mission is centered around helping seniors and their families navigate life's challenges while fostering connection, independence, and well-being.

This is just the beginning of a new chapter where we'll be sharing stories, educational resources, community highlights, and ways we can all make a positive impact together.

💙 Because no one should have to navigate the journey of aging alone.
