Miami Music Project President and CEO Anna Klimala has recently been interviewed by Raymond Elman for ArtSpeak, an arts publication platform sponsored by the Lee Caplin School of Journalism & Media, which is part of Florida International University’s FIU College of Communication, Architecture + The Arts, offering insight on all art disciplines from a blend of students, faculty, and writers of distinction.

“We actually believe that every child has a musical talent,” said President and CEO Anna Klimala. “We do not have any kind of barrier of entry to the program. If the child and the family commit to the daily schedule, they are in. We really believe that every child, given the opportunity, can play an instrument, can be in an orchestra, and can benefit from this program.”

We are proud to share that we received a $150,000 grant from the Florida Division of Arts and Culture. This investment will support our Children’s Orchestras program, expanding program access, advancing student growth through music-based personal development, and strengthening community identity and cultural pride.

Our second week of music lessons brought new musical discoveries:

“I’m excited to learn a new instrument. I already have tried the piano and the flute, and I’m learning the violin now!” said our Homestead Chapter student Delilah (10 years old).

Our students are focused and ready to work on their skills! We couldn’t be prouder of them.
