We're still catching our breath from a whirlwind Maker Faire Miami weekend. This is our biggest event each year and we are so proud of all of the crew, volunteers, makers, and sponsors who helped make it come to life. Looking for a creative way for your child to spend their spring break? Enroll them in our Spring Camp – Game Makers: Build-A-Board at Moonlighter FabLab!

Here, children are invited to dive into hands-on learning and discover what they can create. Spring Camp is their space to explore new ideas, design their own board games, build with real tools and materials, and play each camper's game!

This week, we kicked-off our exciting new funded program, Maker Cities, with a cohort of 20 adult learners interested in exploring advanced manufacturing and emerging technologies. Over the next 6 months, the students will participate in a studio-based course where they will earn certifications in CAD/CAM and digital fabrication projects - and apply those skills in building a full scale project on in the beautiful City of . Stay tuned to follow progress!

Starting Spring semester with a Professional Development STEAM session for teachers at our partnered school in homestead, academy. The spring curriculum includes 3D design and printing, so we are training them to use two loaner printers to empower their students to build their ideas! Can’t wait to see the teachers bring these skills to their classrooms and see what the children create!
