READ ON is back at CARE Elementary! 💙
Our READ ON Kickoff officially begins another year of helping Miami elementary school students build stronger reading skills and discover a genuine love for books.

READ ON is CARE Elementary’s incentive-based literacy initiative, encouraging students to read, track the books they complete, and work toward reading goals. Younger students record titles, while older students write short summaries to demonstrate their understanding.

And there’s a little extra excitement along the way!

Every Thursday, students with a completed READ ON get to visit the CARE Treasure Chest and choose a special prize as a reward for reaching their reading goals.

At the end of the year, we celebrate our students through the READ ON Awards, recognizing their dedication with certificates, medals, and trophies. 🏅🏆

We are proud to share that 93% of CARE Elementary students are reading at or above grade level based on results from a nationally norm-referenced standardized assessment.

While reading proficiency remains a challenge for many students across Florida and the nation, CARE students are significantly outperforming local, state, and national averages. Even more importantly, our students are not simply learning to read. They are developing the ability to understand, analyze, and think critically about what they read, skills that support success in every subject and prepare them for the opportunities ahead.

At CARE Elementary, we partner with families who want more for their children. Families who believe their children are capable of great things and want a school that will nurture their strengths, encourage their growth, and help them continue reaching new heights.

Whether a student needs extra support or is ready to be challenged beyond grade-level expectations, our commitment remains the same: helping every child grow academically, personally, and spiritually.

Today, our 5th graders will walk across the stage and begin an exciting new chapter.

Before they do, they wanted to say thank you.

Thank you for the prayers, the encouragement, the lessons, the memories, and the love that have shaped their time at CARE. When asked what they’ll miss most, their answers were heartfelt: their teachers, their friends, chapel, READ ON, and the support that made CARE feel like home.

At CARE, we believe every child has God-given potential. Over the years, these students have grown into confident learners, compassionate leaders, and young people who are ready to take on what comes next.

As we celebrate the Class of 2026 today, we are grateful for every teacher, staff member, family, volunteer, donor, and supporter who helped make their journey possible.
