World Ocean Celebration Week was one for the books. 🌊💙

From restoring dunes and cleaning our shoreline to paddle-outs, yoga, and beach activations, our community showed up in a big way to celebrate and protect the ocean we love.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and to our incredible partners for making this week possible. The energy, the people, and the shared love for our ocean made this one truly special. 🌊✨

Our latest Blue Water Task Force (BWTF) report is now available for samples collected on June 11, 2026. The Blue Water Task Force (BWTF) is the Surfrider Foundation’s volunteer water quality monitoring program that provides critical water quality information to protect public health at local beaches.

🧪About our BWTF testing:
Water quality samples are tested for the presence of enterococcus, a f***l bacteria that indicates the presence of human or animal waste in the water. Elevated levels of enterococcus increase the likelihood that other pathogens may be present that can make people sick.

– These results reflect a snapshot of conditions during our testing window every Thursday.
– Does not include testing for chemicals, heavy metals, or other contaminants.
– Testing procedure/analysis follows EPA standards for safe recreation.

25 sites. One mission. 🌊💧

Through our Blue Water Task Force program, we’re regularly testing water quality at 25 locations across our community to help keep the public informed and protect the waters we all depend on.

You can help make this work possible. Sponsor a site and support ongoing water quality monitoring in our region.

Protect our waters. Support local science. 💙

A huge thank you to the students and partners who make this possible. We are proud to work alongside our community to ensure clean water for all.

Special thanks to:
