This week we had a good harvest of tomatoes, peppers and eggplant. We took the goodies to the Midwestern Food Bank. They in turn gave them out to shelters , and other programs in need .
Last 2 weeks ago we gave a box of the first tomatoes, eggplant and a few peppers to the El Rancho community kitchen.

FREE GARDEN STUFF!!!!!
D0 you need seeds, pots,trays for pots , a small greenhouse, some irrigation parts, concrete,and many other things . We also have a bunch of bamboo poles .So come on over to the garden this Saturday Morning June 6 from 7:30-9:30
We also have 2 planters that are 6 ft by 3 ft and 3 ft tall. There is a $25 donation per planter. See you Saturday!!!

And right on the heels of Earth Day… 🌎 here comes Arbor Day! 🌳
Today’s the official day (last Friday in April) - a perfect time to show some love for trees.

Now… we know gardeners can have a complicated relationship with trees. 😉 We love the shade, the beauty, and the habitat they provide - but maybe not so much when they’re competing for water, space, or sunlight with our vegetable garden! We hope you have room for both! 🌳💚

Mercado Mesa is this Saturday! This monthly vendor market held at Republica Empanada and Mesa Urban Garden highlights the artistry, craft and culture in our neighborhood. A free event for the community with local vendors, food trucks, plant sale, a DJ, and so much more. Our market brings backyard vibes and makes for an easy Saturday with the family. See you there!

Well looks like we will only need about 4 volunteers this Saturday to distribute the woodchips. They delivered a smaller amount .
We do have some general weeding to do if you would like to help out that way!!

LOOK!!! WE HAVE A VOLUNTEER EVENT!!
This Saturday March 21,
Time 7:30-9:30 am
We need at least 7-8 people who can help shovel and spread wood chips on our pathways.
If you need community service hours for school come on over or just a good workout!!!
We will provide snacks, water, shade.
