Just like at home, trash belongs in the trash bin, not in the grill. Keeping the lids closed helps prevent local wildlife from getting inside as well.

Lost River Fin

We found a lot of broken fins during our Sunday Service cleanup event between Water Users and Pebble Beach, but we're actually searching for a lost one that belongs to one of our volunteers. It's a center river fin, purple/pink, and has Lower Salt Rentals on it. They stayed to the right the entire float. If you find it, we'd love to have it back. Please send a DM.

Wednesday!

It's natural, it's something we all do, and it's nothing to be grossed about if we plan ahead for properly disposing of... 💩

Improperly disposed of human waste is not only an issue for wildlife, but it can spread viruses and bacteria 🦠creating a health and safety issue for recreation. Even pet waste 🐾 can lead to nutrients (phosphorus) running off into our lakes and rivers after rain creating harmful algae blooms.

The best option is to use the facilities provided at the recreation sites; however, keep in mind only toilet paper should be tossed into the vault toilets. The next best option is to plan ahead and Pack It In, Pack It Out. Lastly, if "nature calls" and facilities are limited, find a location where others would not camp or walk at least 200 feet (about 70 to 80 adult paces) from water, trails, and camp. Did You Know that it's not recommended to urinate in waterways with flows less than 500 CFS? You can find out more about this and Cat Holes by reviewing Principle 3 at Leave No Trace
