Announcement Regarding Arizona Fur Con 2025

We apologize for the delay in posting this message on our Meta services. We had to resolve a few technical issues on our website, and we wanted to get those sorted before posting our final update. Those took longer to resolve than we'd hoped.

Many of you have reached out to us via email, telegram, via DM, or other means. We're still in the process of answering those messages, and you can email [email protected] with any additional questions.

We want to thank everyone that's supported us since we first opened our doors in 2013. Every guest, attendee, vendor, artist, dancer, fursuiter, musician, and anyone else that helped make our dreams a reality over the many years. We made friends with so many of you, and we hope to continue seeing you within the community, whether they're at other conventions in AZ, furry meetups by community leaders, or any number of popup events where we're allowed to relax and truly be ourselves.

Every one of you is precious. Continue making friends, growing the community, and keep moving forward.

Hello Everyone
Rayven here and I am one of the Leads on the community driven board for Arizona Fur Con and I have a very important announcement to make.
Earlier this week our venue the Doubletree told us that our contract negotiations had ended. Now this is normal, let me explain what may have happened. When you are contacting a venue you have to think of this as building a giant puzzle. A conventions wants and needs are the pieces, and a contract is putting those pieces together. For us when it came to the Doubletree our needs were too much for the hotel and our negotiations ended. Nothing wrong with the Doubletree, nothing wrong with us.

Within the hour of us finding out this information our team quickly started to work on a new venue and drafting some new contracts. Some of the downsides to finding a host venue is that Arizona is a bit more expensive than other states, and we have to compete with the NFL contract in certain markets. Some of you will ask why are we not returning back to the Mesa Convention Center and truth be told they were not meeting our needs either. Their budget was also triple. The Sheraton Downtown has conflicting dates so we are not pursuing that location either.

We are trying to stay within the October dates and looking around the valley for venues. I know this can be frustrating to not only our attendees but to our Dealers, DJs, Panelists, Volunteers, etc. Once we have a new hotel contract signed and promised we will immediately open all applications so that we can quickly get them processed and get you setup for the conventions.

We are just as disappointed as you are, and we have been working behind the scenes working on new signage, interactive theming, and special swag items. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to me.
