Butman Camp exists to provide a spiritual place where the present & future body of Christ can experience the Glory of God & be equipped to enjoy Him forever

Our office hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm, closed noon to 1:00pm for lunch. During the summer season we operate on different hours due to camps that are being put on between June and the first of August. Office hours are not the hours you are obligated to for your retreat, camp, or other type of group gathering you may want to have. We look forward to serving you for your Butman Camp needs!

Meet Spencer! 👋

At 22, Spencer serves as our Maintenance & Grounds Assistant, keeping things running, fixing what needs fixing, and taking on all kinds of projects around camp.

What he loves most about his role at Camp Butman? The variety of the work and getting to use something he enjoys fixing things and serving others.

But for Spencer, maintenance is about more than fixing things. He loves knowing that the work he does can make a difference, even in the little things. By taking away distractions and helping camp run smoothly, he gets to create space for others to focus on God.

We're grateful for the work Spencer does behind the scenes and the heart he brings to serving at Camp Butman! 🤍

Meet our Mother-Daughter Retreat speaker, Melanie! 🤍

For over 10 years, Melanie has attended the Mother-Daughter Retreat at Camp Butman alongside her mom, Deborah. Butman has been part of her story since she was just two years old, when her dad, Jeff, began working at camp.

Now, as a wife, mom of three, and new homeschool mom, Melanie finds joy in each of her roles while striving to find her identity in Christ above all else.

This year, Melanie will help us explore the Biblical truth behind what it means to be “Made for More.” We can’t wait to hear from her!

Take a few minutes to slow down, grab a journal, and write out your prayers. Write down what’s on your heart, what you’re asking God for, what you’re thankful for, and even the things you don’t know how to put into words.

Then, keep coming back to it. Over time, your journal can become a reminder of God’s faithfulness and the ways He has been working, even when you couldn’t see it yet.

Take the challenge. Write it down. Pray it out. ✨

We had so much fun hosting the Abilene Christian School 6th grade class for a day of team-building fun! 🙌
