We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Unity minister Rev. Edwene Gaines.

Rev. Edwene dedicated her life to awakening abundance consciousness in the world, reminding us that true prosperity begins within.

As an ordained Unity minister since 1979 and the beloved author of "The Four Spiritual Laws of Prosperity", her teachings have inspired countless people to transform their relationship with God, giving, gratitude, and possibility.

We were honored to welcome Edwene to Unity on the Bay on several occasions, and her wisdom continues to influence our community and our understanding of spiritual prosperity.

Today, we hold her family, friends, students, and all whose lives she touched in prayer. We give thanks for her extraordinary legacy and celebrate a life devoted to love, faith, and the uplifting of humanity.

Join us as we welcome Scott Thompson, who will speak to our group on August 2 at 11:00am at Unity of Abilene.

His message is titled ONE BREATH:

There is only one breath. You cannot reach for yesterday’s breath, and tomorrow’s breath is not yours to hold. The breath pattern is knowing, forgetting, remembering, and return. This is expressed as one becoming two so that it can become one again.

Life expresses this outwardly as image, as people, as history, and in the expression of projecting outwardly…it forgets. The senses throw the world outward and the mind hangs meaning on it, and language names everything as other or thing. The eye sees the world, but can never see itself.

What we call object or thing is never recognized as the mirror showing our own face. Everything speaks as a function including the breath.

What is seen outwardly is the exhale…when it is seen within, the breath returns…the entire story is this stretched into a projection of time. Only seen today, in your hearing. Seeing is the remembrance, the inhale…when you become the very pattern that is being unveiled.

“Who Are You?” - From the moment we are born, the world begins telling us who you are. Those around us begin right away putting labels on us. According to science, as children, we are like sponges. We internalize the labels given us and live our lives accordingly.
What if:
- You are not who you have been taught you are?
- The true you is not being expressed?
- There is more to you than even you know?
- You are stronger, smarter, wiser, and much more capable than you think you are?
