Big Country Reentry Coalition

Big Country Reentry Coalition The BCRC facilitates and supports the successful return of formerly incarcerated individuals to our community.

We envision a more equitable society where second chances are made a reality. The Big Country Reentry Coalition is a referral, information, and advocacy group comprised of local community volunteers who are dedicated to bettering the reentry experience. We aim to reduce redundant services through collaboration with agencies that provide direct support. Our efforts focus on local an

d state initiatives that affect the equal prosperity of returning citizens with an emphasis on education, treatment, mental health, employment, mentorship and housing.

Medicated Assisted Treatment is the Swiss Army knife of addiction care—because whether you need to stop craving, stay alive, or just make it to work on Monday, it’s got a tool for that.

The main “tools” we use at AARS are Methadone and Buprenorphine. The medicine we prescribe is not a cure all, it is a “tool” to assist you in your treatment. A previous patient of ours, who attended a local anonymous meeting in town, pointed out a reference to the disease of addiction in some well known literature and compared it to their own experience. This patient said, “I have a threefold disease that affects my mind, my body and my spirit. I used methadone as a tool to cure the physical aspects of my disease, and once I was stable on my dosage, I was able to focus on the mental and spiritual aspects. After those two aspects were in line, I knew it was time to taper off my medication. With the guidance from my counselor and medical staff, I was able to taper off completely without any withdrawal symptoms.”

This patient has successfully completed treatment and continues to flourish in the recovery community.

If you or someone you know is struggling with opioid use, please contact us directly at (325)400-8586. We are here to pave the way and provide you with the tools for a fulfilling life.
