A little piece of the Caribbean, right here in Abilene! 🌴🦜

Years ago, we had the privilege of designing and installing the tropical landscape at Caribbean Cove at the Abilene Zoo. Today, we’re just as proud to continue caring for this beautiful space and helping it thrive.

There’s something special about creating landscapes that become part of the community and continue bringing joy to families year after year.

We’re grateful for our longtime partnership with the Abilene Zoo and the opportunity to help keep one of Abilene’s favorite destinations beautiful! 💚

WTAGC CLAY SHOOT

Next year we want to continue building on the success of this year's Clay Shoot. Next year's event will be in September at Hub City Clays in the Lubbock Shooting Complex. Please watch and listen to what the participants and sponsors had to say about this year's event.

The funds raised for the Clay Shoot will go to scholarship and workforce development programs that the Chapter has created to help bring young men and women into the construction industry.

2026 Fall Jobsite Tours

Workforce Solutions of West Central Texas kicked off their Industry Tour Series with CONSTRUCTION this past Wednesday in Abilene and Brownwood!

Students got to gear up, step onto real project sites, and see firsthand what it takes to bring a project to life, including the many different careers that make it all happen.

A huge thank you to two of our members Collier Construction and Teinert Construction for participating in this event and giving students a real look at the industry. Collier Construction allowed us to tour their Corgan Office renovation occuring at the Enterprise Building and the Pioneer Drive Baptist Church construction site both in Abilene. Teinert Construction had us tour their construction site of the VA Clinic in Abilene and the Howard Payne University Tennis Court Facility in Brownwood.

2026 WTAGC CLAY SHOOT

On Friday 9/18/26 the West Texas Chapter AGC hosted its 2nd Annual Clay Shoot at Hub City Clays in the Lubbock Shooting Complex.

We want to thank our sponsors, shooters, and partners who made the 2026 Clay Shoot a huge success! The funds raised for the Clay Shoot will go to scholarship and workforce development programs that the Chapter has created to help bring young men and women into the construction industry.

We want to congratulate OPREX Construction for winning 1st Place Team and Marmic Fire & Safety for 2nd Place Team. Cody Hada from OPREX Construction won 1st Place Individual and Seth Baker from Marmic Fire & Safety won 2nd Place Individual.
