Today, we celebrate the life and vision of Ida Hendrick, whose compassion and dedication laid the foundation for Hendrick Home for Children.

Long before the Home opened its doors, Ida and her husband, Tom, traveled throughout the country, weaving in visits to children's homes along the way. Ida captured many of their travels and children's home visits in a photography album, complete with handwritten dates and locations—a testament to her thoughtful planning and unwavering commitment to creating a place where children could thrive.

So many years later, her vision continues to inspire everything we do. Happy Birthday, Ida, and thank you for leaving a legacy of hope, love, and opportunity for generations of children and families. 💙
