S.O.W. Community OutreachโServing Others Wellโis seeking caring, dependable individuals who are ready to invest their time, talents, and experience in our youth, families, and community.
Volunteer opportunities include:
๐ฟ S.O.W. Community Urban Garden
We welcome seasoned gardeners, beginning gardeners, and anyone interested in planting, watering, harvesting, garden maintenance, nutrition, and community-garden activities.
๐ Boys to Men Mentoring Program
๐ Raising Queens Mentoring Program
โ๏ธ L.I.V.โLife Is Valuable Juvenile Program
๐ซ In-school and after-school programming
๐จโ๐ฉโ๐ง Parent workshops and family activities
๐๏ธ Community events and fundraisers
๐ธ Photographers and videographers
๐ฑ Social media, marketing, and promotional support
โ๏ธ Grant researchers and grant writers
๐ Administrative and general program support
Minimum Requirements
โข General volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
โข A high school diploma or GED is required.
โข Mentors must be at least 24 years old and at least a college junior or senior.
โข Volunteers must be dependable, positive, and committed to supporting young people and families.
โข Additional screening may be required depending on the volunteer assignment.
Verified community-service hours are available for school, college, employment, civic, and other approved requirements.
