The gavel was officially passed at Tuesday night’s Le Bonheur Club membership meeting! After serving as the 2025-2026 President, Jamie Harris shared her gratitude for the Executive Board, Committee Chairs, all the members and welcomed Sadie Hogue as our 2026-2027 President.

Under Jamie’s leadership we raised $529,411 for Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital and were able to present a check to Maureen O’Conner, Vice President, Institutional Advancement, Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, President Le Bonheur Foundation.

What a wonderful way to serve Le Bonhuer Children’s Hospital! This past weekend the USA/Canada Lions Leadership Forum was held in Memphis and the past International Presidents and their spouses made No-Sew Blankets for Bunny Lane. Huge thanks to Dr. Natalie Kerr, a Le Bonheur Ophthalmologist, who connected LBC member, Cathy Wilson, with Scott Shelhamer, who organized this year’s event.

We reconvened from our summer break for our September membership meeting on 901 Day! We were fortunate to have Dr. Alicia Barnes speak to us about the state of mental health in children and share what her team is doing to turn the tide from crisis to resilience at Le Bonheur. We also held our Annual Placement Fair so LBC members could decide which committees they are going to join this year. From entertaining to stocking toys for Bunny Lane to planning fabulous Benefit Events, there’s so many ways to fundraise, volunteer and support the hospital!

Our former and honorary chairs of Le Bon Appetit gathered Saturday evening at the home of Drs. Clayton and Kristen Bettin to prepare a coursed w**e dinner for 12 guests. The “Farm to Fancy” themed dinner was a Le Bon Appetit auction item, bringing together this group who celebrated the idea of “friend-raising” - sharing a fun experience together while also raising money for an excellent cause! Thank you to the Bettins for supporting Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, and thank you to our fabulous Le Bon Appetit Chairs for making this dinner a huge success!
