Mewtopia Cat Rescue Located in Memphis, Tenn., Mewtopia is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization that has been rescuing cats and matching them with loving homes for 26 years.

Mewtopia Cat Rescue is a non-profit community service organization that rescues homeless, abused, abandoned or owner-relinquished cats. We help reduce the unwanted cat population by
- placing cats with responsible owners through adoption
- helping trap, alter and release stray/feral cats
- educating the public on responsible animal ownership

Hi there. My name is Poptart. I came to Mewtopia after I was trapped and neutered as a feral cat. Even though I was scared, I was really nice to the person who trapped me and everyone at the spay clinic. I didn't hiss or growl, and I even let people pet me. Everyone agreed that I needed to be an inside kitty and have a chance to find a forever home. I might act shy at first, but if you sit on the floor with me and give me pets, I will warm up fast. I also love to have my beautiful coat brushed. I'm used to being around other cats and would love to be adopted with one of my roommates at Mewtopia or go to a home with a nice kitty who would be my friend.

You have to meet this house panther! Sesame is the sweetest and handsomest 7-month-old boy available for adoption at Utopia Animal Hospital. This sweet boy had a broken leg that had to be amputated, but he's all healed, fully vetted with a clean bill of health, and is ready for his furever home. Hello, my name is Hopscotch, and I have a confession to make. You might remember that a few months ago Mewtopia rescued me just before my human family was going to move and leave me outside by myself. I was so happy to be safe, and it didn't take long before some wonderful people saw my story and came to visit me.They fell in love with me right away. See, I am a very sweet, affectionate girl with people. I love being petted, getting neck scratches, and snuggling. I was so excited when the nice people came back to take me home and was looking forward to having my very own humans who would love me forever, but when I got to my new home, do you know what was there? Other cats! I thought I could take care of this problem by being as hissy and bossy with those pesky creatures as I could. Well, after a while, the nice humans realized that as sweet and loving as I was with them that I was never going to be nice to the other kitties. It's true. I admit it. I love humans but not other cats. I'm back at Mewtopia and am looking for a forever home where I will get all the attention and love, a home with no other cats or dogs. If you are looking for an only kitty to love, I hope you will come see me.

My name is Dominique. As you can tell, I'm still getting used to my new surroundings and am a little scared. You see, someone I trusted abandoned me here at Mewtopia, and while everyone here is just so nice, it might take me a while to relax and trust again. The volunteers who visit every day give me lots of pets and yummy treats and tell me it's all going to be OK, and you know what? I believe them, and I know one day Mewtopia will help me find the perfect home with a family that knows kitties are forever.
