Yesterday, our team had the privilege of supporting Restore Corps Red Sand Project event at the MATA bus terminal.

We had the opportunity to hear powerful stories from individuals whose lives have been transformed through the work of Restore Corp and the Red Sand Project. Partners, supporters, clients, and community members came together to pour red sand into cracks in the sidewalks, creating meaningful works of art that symbolize those who have fallen through the cracks and become victims of human trafficking.

Each grain of red sand serves as a reminder that every life matters. We honor the survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and reaffirm our commitment to advocating for those who cannot fight for themselves.

A better future is possible because of initiatives like the Red Sand Project and the dedicated organizations leading this work. We are proud to stand alongside Restore Corp and will continue supporting efforts that bring awareness, restore hope, and help save lives.

We believe in community outreach initiatives designed to connect youth, families, and neighborhoods with resources, support services, educational opportunities, and prevention programming. Through partnerships, community events, mental health services, and youth development activities, Heal 901 seeks to strengthen relationships, promote healing, and create safer, more connected communities throughout Memphis and Shelby County.

U.S. Rep. Steve Cohen announced today that PURE Academy and Heal 901 will be splitting $1,031,000 in federal funding. This grant is intended to support ongoing efforts to divert Memphis youth from crime.
