🫶 Supporting Patients Beyond Clinic Walls 🫶

Members of West team recently visited the Hope Lodge Memphis to learn more about the incredible resources available to our patients and their families.

Our team — Lynda Nthiga, DO, Pelvic Surgery Fellow; Darcy Eastwood, MD, Breast Surgical Oncology Fellow; Jessica Dougan, Fellowship Coordinator; and Valerie Strange, Director of Patient Access Services — toured the facility and connected with staff to better understand how Hope Lodge supports patients during their journey.

Hope Lodge, a program of the American Cancer Society, provides free lodging for cancer patients and their caregivers who must travel away from home for treatment. By offering a comfortable place to stay, Hope Lodge helps ease the financial and emotional burden of cancer — allowing patients to focus on healing.

We’re grateful for partnerships like this that help us care for our patients, every step of the way. 🎗️

Since opening our doors, we’ve proudly offered free lodging to cancer patients and their caregivers—providing a safe, supportive home away from home and saving families thousands along the way.

Yesterday, our patients and caregivers were treated to a delicious spread of One & Only BBQ—all thanks to the incredible generosity of FedEx! 🍖✨

The smiles and full bellies were a perfect reminder of how community support can lift spirits and bring comfort during challenging times. We are so grateful for this thoughtful meal that brought warmth and joy to everyone at Hope Lodge. 💙

🌟 A Special Thank You to Our Anonymous Donor 🌟

Today, we were blessed with an incredible donation from an anonymous donor, who made sure Hope Lodge has the essentials we need to keep our guests comfortable. 🙏

The delivery included:
🍪 Snacks like cookies, crackers, and more
🍲 Pantry staples including soups, tuna fish, and other necessities
🚽 Toilet paper – because sometimes the simplest things make a world of difference.

Our girl is officially back!! 💗 Our very own Kristi Flake, Assistant General Manager, has been out on leave battling her own cancer journey. She’s not only beaten breast cancer once but now twice. 🙏🏻 We’re beyond excited to have her back at the Hope Lodge. Help us welcome her back!! 🎉🙌🏻💗
