There is something about Memphis that moves.

The rhythm. The soul. The creativity. The expression. The mighty Mississippi flowing alongside us, carrying stories of where we’ve been and the possibility of where we’re going.

Memphis is more than our home. It is part of our ESSENCE.

It shapes how we move, how we create, how we express ourselves and how we show up in the world. And every time Collage takes the stage beyond the 901, we carry the spirit of this city and the community that made us with us.

On , we’re proud to celebrate the place that continues to pour so much into us, and proud to be part of the beauty, creativity and expression moving Memphis forward.

Wash, a gripping ballet choreographed for Collage Dance Collective by Joshua Manculich and deeply inspired by our city’s pivotal place along the Mississippi River, makes its Memphis return next month in ORIGINS, October 23–25 at Playhouse on the Square.

Wherever we go, the 901 moves with us. Ⓜ️💙

It costs more than $2,300 each year to train a dancer at Collage. The average family pays less than $1,200 in tuition.

Our community makes up the difference.

That’s the gap.

On Give 8/28, you can help us bridge it.

Our Bridge the Gap Campaign has a goal of $40,000, helping make world-class dance training accessible to young people across our community, regardless of what their families can afford.

Every gift helps close the distance between talent and opportunity.

After 11 remarkable seasons, we celebrate Rickey Flagg II and his incredible journey as a member of Collage Dance Collective.

Rickey brought strength, artistry, and heart to stages at home and around the world, touring internationally with the company and taking on memorable roles including The Prince in Kevin Thomas’ Firebird, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in Thomas’ RISE, and the Homeless man in Kevin Iega Jeff’s FLACK.

This reel offers just a glimpse of the many performances, roles and moments that have defined Rickey’s time on stage with Collage.

And while his chapter as a Company Artist has come to a close, Rickey remains an important part of the Collage family. He will continue sharing his artistry and experience as a faculty member in the Collage Dance Conservatory, helping nurture the next generation of dancers.

Rickey, thank you for your dedication, passion, and unforgettable artistry. Please join us in celebrating Rickey and the lasting impact he has made on our organization and the entire Collage community.
