We did ten adoptions today 💜
and took in 18+ cats off our waiting list!

Every day we get about a dozen calls of people looking to rehome their cats. The waiting list continues to grow and with very limited options locally to surrender, it shows no signs of stopping.

One of the biggest hurdles in taking in adult cats is - space.
Even if we have the space in our isolation rooms - our well rooms have a limited amount of room for residents. Since adult cats get adopted less frequently that leaves us at a stalemate.

We can’t take in cats with nowhere for them to go. We have long term residents that have been in those rooms for 6+ months without any interest.

So we need your help!

If you are looking for a new feline friend we urge you to consider an adult cat.

Cats life expectancy can be anywhere from 12-18 years ( and we’ve had 20+ yr olds! )
So often we hear the reason for not adopting an adult cat is that they’re “too old”
But they have so much life left to live.

Many of these adults grew up in homes and are house trained and just waiting to be back lounging on a couch.

Some of them have already lived with kids , other animals and have been litter trained for years.

Adult cats already have personalities you can see and are way calmer then introducing a kitten into the home.

Above all these reasons - they deserve a chance at finding their forever home and living the rest of their life with a family who loves them.

If you are not in a place to adopt right now please still Share/Like this post and follow us on facebook to spread the word.

We had a wonderful Saturday for adoptions and sent 22 cats to their forever homes!

Cove has been in rescue almost a year and although she is not super fond of the other kitties - when she becomes comfortable with you she can be very sweet.

Dashboard is a volunteer favorite senior and loves any kind of attention. We promise the hat is just for the photos!

We still have so so many cats waiting for their forever homes 🐾
But today we are so excited for the kitties who found theirs yesterday.

You may remember earlier in the year we posted Olay several times as she was an older kitten waiting to find her home.

Eventually a very nice person came to adopt her and we were thrilled for her to start her new life.

Unfortunately, Olays owner passed away unexpectedly and left Olay and her two new cat siblings behind. They are confused about their new surroundings, but are doing well.

It is clear that all three cats were loved very much , and even though the siblings were not HOPE cats originally- they are now.

They will all be available in a few weeks after their vetting is done.

Once a HOPE cat , always a HOPE cat.

We are hopeful for a happy ending for this trio soon.
