🚨 Slow Down. Move Over. Start the Conversation. 🚨
Each year, the Women’s Center of Brevard is proud to participate in Slow Down Move Over Brevard alongside I Go Now Roadside Assistance because we believe everyone deserves to be safe. 💜
Slow Down Move Over reminds us that safety doesn’t stop when we get behind the wheel. It’s about looking out for the people around us and taking action when we see someone who may be vulnerable or in danger.
At the Women’s Center, our mission is to help create safe, healthy, and self-sufficient lives for those affected by domestic, dating, and sexual violence.
Both roadside safety and domestic and sexual violence can be difficult topics to talk about. But talking about them is how awareness grows—and awareness can lead to action.
So, we’re asking you to join us at Slow Down Move Over Brevard and help us start the conversations.
đź’¬ Talk with your family and friends about what to do when you see someone stopped on the side of the road.
đź’¬ Talk about how to safely respond when someone you love may be experiencing abuse.
đź’¬ Talk about what it means to look out for one another.
đź’¬ Talk about how we can make our communities safer.
Let’s have the tough conversations. Let’s look out for one another. And let’s make a difference—together. 💜
The Women’s Center of Brevard will be joining us at Slow Down Move Over Brevard on October 10!
While roadway safety is at the heart of SDMO, this event is also about community — bringing together the people, businesses, and organizations that serve Brevard County every day.
The Women’s Center of Brevard provides important resources and support to individuals and families in our community. Be sure to stop by their booth, meet their team, and learn more about the services and resources available right here in Brevard.
