Let your kids enjoy an educational and fun lifecycle craft in addition to all the other amazing happenings of the day! Giant prop painting continues!!! Hopefully we only have two more sessions and then they will be ready to go. We cannot wait to see the kids crawl through these, and families take pictures with the giant Caterpillar and butterfly! The McDowell Trails Association
Family Day is going to be such a blast. Make sure to come out on Sept 19 to enjoy the food tunnel and so much more!

That means we care A LOT about the future of McDowell County Parks and Recreation and where they choose to put their resources. If you are a McDowell County resident and want to weigh in on what the future of green space in our County looks like, please take a few minutes to complete this survey.

A public survey is being distributed as part of the development of a Comprehensive Parks and Recreation Master Plan for McDowell County. Deadline is October 2nd 2026.

It was a wonderful evening out on Main St in Marion tonight! The Bigfoot Festival starts tonight and we were thrilled to be able to bring our Memory Mobile up for it's debut. The bubbles were nothing short of magical and the kids had a great time. Thank you so much to everyone who enjoyed some time outside with us, to our amazing volunteers who kept the bubbles full and kids entertained, and to the Marion Business Association for supporting our fun with the coloring materials!

Make sure to stop by and let your kids join the fun! We will be at the Marion city stage from 5:00 to 7:00 tonight with tons of bubbles, jumbo sidewalk shop, and a Bigfoot coloring activity from the Marion Business Association - MBA !

TOMORROW IS THE NIGHT! Bigfoot Eve events are happening throughout downtown, and we will be holding down the City Stage area with bubble machines, bubble trays, music, chalk, and a Bigfoot Bernie coloring station. Make sure to stop by to see us between 5-7pm!
