Reminder for the tailgate this Saturday
This from Todd KI4FVO of Western Piedmont
This is a reminder that our Tailgate Swap Meet is coming up THIS Saturday October 10 at 8am. Event will go until 12 noon, possibly later, depending on the vendors, the crowd and the weather. Location will be Catawba Meadows Park, 701 Sanford Drive, Morganton. If you signed up to be a worker, please try to be at the park not later than 730. 700 or 715 would be great. We have had vendors to request an early set up time. Greg has made arrangements with the City to have the gate opened not later than 7am and he has volunteered to be the "Early Bird". If you did not sign up to be a worker, but would still like to help, just show up and we will team you up with somebody.
We have been watching the weather forecast this week in regards to the storm that will be passing through our area. As of right now, it looks like the weather will be nice for Saturday. Cloudy with a high of 65-70. We will continue to keep an eye on the weather and in the event of rain, we will make a decision as quickly as possible. Any such changes will be announced over the nets, email and Spond. For right now, everything is a go !
I am looking forward to the event and I hope to see everyone there. I plan to arrive by 715. Even if you do not want to sell or buy, come out to the park and take a look around. The Lenoir Club LARC plans to bring their communications trailer and set up and run during the event. Make sure to stop by their trailer and take a look inside. We appreciate them taking the time and effort to pull their trailer over and set up for our event.
