On June 18th, the McDowell Chamber was proud to host the First Latino Business Exchange at McDowell Tech's Small Business Center in partnership with McDowell Technical Community College, MTCC Small Business Center, and Mountain BizWorks

This event was created to connect Latino business owners and entrepreneurs in our community with valuable resources, build relationships, and create opportunities for long-term business success. Throughout the evening, attendees learned more about each organization’s programs, services, and commitment to supporting businesses as they launch, maintain, and grow in McDowell County.

Guests also enjoyed complimentary tacos provided by a local Latino entrepreneur and participated in raffles featuring contributions from Latino-owned businesses, showcasing the entrepreneurship, culture, and impact of our local business community. Attendees were also invited to complete a survey to share their experiences, challenges, and business needs so we can better understand how to support and serve the Latino business community moving forward.

Thank you to everyone who attended and to our partners who helped make this event possible. The McDowell Chamber remains committed to fostering an inclusive and thriving business environment where all entrepreneurs have access to the connections, resources, and support needed to succeed. We look forward to continuing these conversations and turning feedback into action.
