The Veterans In Need Project focuses on microgrants for veterans in need of immediate assistance. www.veteransinneedproject.org

If you are in need of assistance please fill out the request form on our website. The Veterans In Need Project was started by a group of high school students in 2021 at Leading Edge Academy Online. The group won a small grant to fund the project and began to set out to help local veterans. Not wanting the project to end or their service to veterans, two group members have kept the group alive and have transferred the project to a non-profit organization. The organization is now comprised of three students,a parent whom is a veteran and one other local veteran. The organization raises money locally to help veterans through micro-grants aimed at being a hand-up not a hand out.

At this time we regretfully report that we will be halting requests for assistance until we can secure more funding. It has a been a true honor to help so many and we will be back at it as soon as we can.

Today was a great success story. We received a message from an 84 year old veteran in Maricopa at 8:14 this morning. His water heater was leaking in the garage and he didn’t know what to do. Thanks to Aj Robinson for his quick response to trouble shoot the problem. With his quick quote and estimate we reached out to American Legion Post 133, Maricopa AZ and Post 12043! The three organizations came together to help cover the cost of the replacement and labor for this veteran and it all took less than three hours!!! This is what support and teamwork really look like. Thank you to all involved in making this happen today.

Thank you to our donors and supporters!! In July we received $450 in donations and proceeds from birthday fundraisers. You are all truly amazing and we appreciate our support of the veterans community and our mission.

To simplify and assist the increased amount of support requests that we are receiving, we have implemented a new online form to request assistance. It is easily found on our website and will streamline our process. Thank you to everyone for your support.
